Today, for the first time, data was published in Israel showing a moderation in the spread of the coronavirus. This is in addition to a decline in the number of people requiring ventilation as well as a decrease in other related important parameters. Thank G-d.
There has also been a decrease in the rate of daily infections and in the number of fatalities. The number of those in critical condition also increased very little in relation the rate of increase in previous days.
Former Health Ministry Director-General Professor Gabi Barash commented on the publication of the data with the words "I'm really happy!”
These good tidings are being published on the 11th of Nissan - the birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, King Moshiach - the day when one’s "fortune" is dominant which brings with it blessing to all the people of Israel.
These positive developments come in the wake of last week's important announcement from the Nes Ziona Institute of Biology that they are on the verge of producing a "pre-vaccine" signifying that they expect significant progress in finding an actual vaccine. A "pre-vaccine" will allow for rapid experimentation in animals and human volunteers, as well as for rapid vaccine production. Additionally, this may lead to the production of antibodies to the virus leading to the development of a drug.
Worldwide efforts are also underway from medical and biotech companies, as well as the military officials (engaged in biological warfare development) to find drugs and vaccines for the virus. There are already many reports that seem promising.
Other countries as well are reporting decreasing rates of infection and mortality.
In Italy, the lowest number of dead has been recorded in about two weeks and in Spain there has been a decline for 3 straight days. The Governor of New York announced today that for the first time, there has been a reduction in mortality in New York State, and that there has also been a decrease in the number of hospitalizations.
It seems that if these positive trends continue, in about two or three weeks, the authorities may begin to remove some of the restrictions on movement which should boost economic recovery efforts in Israel and the world over.
The main thing, however, is that we are now in the month of Nissan. This, according to the teachings of Chassidus, indicates a supernatural influence implying redemption and G-dly revelations. The name of the month itself - “Nissan” implies miracles, including miracles within miracles.
The way to bring this all about, according the the Rebbe’s teachings, is to elevate ourselves and act in a "miraculous" way - in everyday life - that is, to change our conduct for the better, make good resolutions to increase and strengthen in Torah study and Torah living. To be more meticulous in the performance of the commandments, concentrate more on prayer and to work on oneself in increasing the love for all Jews. By doing that, we will have both miraculous influences from Above and a good impact on all of the people of Israel!
“In Nissan they were redeemed and in the future, in Nissan, they will be redeemed”. We will then merit to partake of the Sabbath and Passover offerings in the Third Temple.
